Welcome to Branchville, SC

Branchville, located on the southern tip of Orangeburg County, is home to the world's oldest railroad junction, built in 1828. The Raylrode Daze Festivul occurs each September to celebrate Branchville's history. The Town of Branchville was incorporated on Dec. 23, 1858.

New Program Available for Early Childhood Education

Shanika Aiken, the Early Childhood Coordinator for Lockett Elementary School has a new program available to help young children prepare for school.  The program activities include home visits from a trained early childhood educator, parent child education groups, playgroups and storybook hours, a book bag lending program and more.  For more information contact Shanika Aiken, Lockett Elementary School, 1349 Dorange Rd. or by telephone at (803) 274-8588.  Click on the link below to view the flyer for this program.
